VLT- Most distant galaxy cluster observed to date formed when the universe was only 3 billion years old.
Spiral galaxy NGC 1232, and its distorted companion are located roughly 70 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus (The River). Billions of stars are caught up in this beautiful gravitational swirl.
